LFS State Cineplex is situated at Jalan Yong Shook Lin in PJ new town. The cinema started business with the name “PJ State Cinema” back in the 1960s. During that time, the cinema showed mostly English movies using carbon projectors and it provided 600 seats together with only one movie screen. It stopped its operation due to the 1998 economic downturn. Later, Lotus Group which distributed Tamil movies reopened the cinema and it became LFS State Cineplex in 2005.
